Our Activities

Mother Sufeda Foundation

Swachhata Diwas

Clearing the bushes and vegetation along the roadsides is one of our primary responsibilities, ensuring that young children and school students face no difficulties during their commute. Furthermore, Swachhata Diwas (Cleanliness Day) is observed every year on October 2nd.

Women Empowerment

The Mother Sufeda Foundation initiates movements and stands in solidarity with any woman, anywhere in the world, who is subjected to oppression; for women’s empowerment is one of our core objectives.

Road Construction

If the Mother Sufeda Foundation observes that roads or thoroughfares in a particular area are in poor condition—thereby hindering the movement of the general public or making it difficult for students to commute to school—they immediately undertake repairs to that road, ensuring that people and vehicles can travel back and forth safely and smoothly.

Bratachari Training

This program is conducted annually by our organization, and certificates are awarded to all participants who complete the training. Bratachari training is a specialized form of physical, mental, and moral education originally pioneered by Gurusaday Dutt, a renowned social reformer of Bengal.
“Brata” signifies a vow or pledge, while “Chari” denotes one who observes or upholds it. Thus, those who lead a virtuous life and adhere to high ideals are known as Bratacharis.
Bratachari training typically encompasses the following areas:
Physical Exercises and Drills – Designed to keep the body healthy and strong, accompanied by cultural practice through patriotic songs and folk music.
Moral Education – Instilling values such as honesty, discipline, and cooperation.
Patriotism – Cultivating a deep love for one’s country and a strong sense of civic responsibility.
Social Service – Engaging in collective action and extending assistance to others.
Bratacharis adhere to five core ideals:
Knowledge, Labor, Truth, Unity, and Joy.
It instills discipline in children and youth.
It boosts self-confidence.
It fosters leadership qualities.
It helps individuals develop into upright and virtuous human beings.

Primary Education

Primary education is our main goal. We teach and impart knowledge to children in every subject in different villages.

Blanket Distribution

Kindness warms the hearts of those in need like a warm blanket. Through blanket distribution programs, the Mother Sufeda Foundation helps the needy and poor in underserved areas. Because they don’t have access to warm blankets to shield themselves and their families from the bitter cold as winter nears in West Bengal, this time of year becomes a frightening one for them. We are aware of the plight of those who endure the bitter cold on railway platforms, along roadsides, and without shelter. As a result, we organize blanket distribution programs to provide these individuals with warmth and comfort during tough times. We accept that this work would spread the glow of empathy and lighten the enduring of the less lucky in our general public.

Cloth Distribution

Clothing is a fundamental need that grants people a life of respect and dignity, following food and shelter. However, we are aware that, due to their lower socioeconomic status, the majority of the backward section of Murshidabad’s population cannot afford regular clothing in some areas. To manage this matter, we arrange fabric conveyance programs through which we mean to meet their fundamental necessities as well as reestablish their certainty and confidence. In these camps, we give clothes that are clean and can be worn. It makes us so happy to see the smiles on the faces of the people who get them, and God blesses us for these efforts.

Awareness & Assistance for Governmental scheme

Our primary focus is on helping these individuals understand and benefit from government schemes, such as the “Duare Sarkar Scheme,” which aims to provide free services and support to all. We work tirelessly to educate and guide people through the complex process of filling out forms, ensuring transparency and safeguarding against any form of forgery. We firmly believe that everyone deserves equal access to essential services, regardless of their literacy or socio-economic background. By empowering individuals with knowledge and support, we strive to bridge the gap between the government’s initiatives and the people they are intended to help. Together, we can create a more inclusive society, where no one is left behind.

Educational Tour

Mother Sufeda Foundation has conducted educational tours for students to expose them to new cultures and experiences. These tours can be a valuable learning opportunity for students, as they can learn about different cultures, history, and geography. They can also help students develop their critical thinking skills and learn how to work as a team. We have had our tour to Bolpur-shantiniketan with an aim to  provide a unique learning experience, immersing students in the rich cultural heritage and artistic environment of Shantiniketan. We visited renowned educational institutions, explored the Tagore Museum, and engaged in interactive workshops with local artists and craftsmen. This tour not only enhances knowledge and understanding but also fosters creativity and appreciation for art, literature, and nature in an enlightening journey to Shantiniketan!
